Since 1981, our volunteer‑run organization has provided lifesaving programs for cats and dogs and outreach services for our community. We do not operate an intake facility; instead, we partner daily with the Scott County Animal Shelter, the county’s open‑admission shelter for all surrendered or abandoned animals. Through foster and adoption programs, a pet food bank, spay/neuter services, education initiatives, and our Adoption and Education Center in Georgetown, we work to save and improve the lives of animals in Scott County.

Membership also provides opportunities to volunteer, learn more about responsible pet ownership, and have a voice in the future of the organization through participation in Board of Directors elections.
Events
Our events are designed to educate, inspire, and engage the community while supporting the lifesaving work of the Scott County Humane Society. Whether attending a fundraiser, meeting adoptable pets, or participating in a community event, supporters help make a lasting difference in the lives of local animals.
